Options in the time of recession !

We need to figure out what else we could possibly do if the worst fears come true... usually when i think on these lines I go blank.
To save myself I blame it on the genes that either has zamindari or service - no entrerprenurial skills what so ever.
The original idea was to live closer home and yet do something worth while
Idea # 1 the closest I came to was sourcing garments from other parts of India/ Bangladesh and selling in our region, met a few people and they majorly dissuaded me saying actualizing the payments was a head ache beyond compare - all the money that you have is only in the books and payments from the buyers is super delayed... So idea got shelved

Idea # 2 - float an NGO, do some development work and make a living too. Very interesting and nice...very Mohan Bhargav from Swades, like Harsh says ! But once again he himself dissuaded me from coming back saying the actual ground realities are much tougher and not worth quitting the curent job.Although he is currently working with an organization called Manav Vikas and is working on quite a few projects.Have you thought on similar lines ?? if yes, I am sure you would have better ideas than the above, let me know... the dream is to go back to the native place, do well and make a positive difference to the place we grew up !!

Was that too much or am I getting carried away !

Palkotian

Hi ... this is my first attempt at Blogging..
Palkote is a small village in Eastern India and my forefathers came from there, hence we are called Palkotians !
It was originally Pampapur from Ramayana Days, remember the place where Hanuman, Sugreev, Bali and Jamwant stayed... yes it is the same wonderful place :)
